School Library

Welcome to Our School Library

Our bright and inviting library is located at the back of the school, with beautiful views of the playing fields. It's a peaceful space designed for both work and leisure reading, providing a quiet atmosphere where students can focus and enjoy their books. The purpose-built library comfortably accommodates 33 students at tables, plus a dedicated area with 7 computers, all connected to the internet and equipped with a local printer. For those looking to relax, we also have cozy seating for casual reading. A photocopier is available for both students and staff.

Library Facilities

Explore our entire collection of fiction and non-fiction on Reading Cloud which is accessed via our school intranet. Here you can reserve books that are currently on loan, review books you have recently read and add books to your reading list to help with tailored recommendations.

The library offers a collection of over 20,000 resources, including reference books, fiction, and non-fiction. We also provide ICT equipment that students can borrow and staff can reserve for use.

Supporting the Curriculum

Our library boasts a diverse selection of both classic and contemporary fiction, featuring award-winning authors and a wide variety of genres to inspire all kinds of readers. Our non-fiction collection is carefully curated to cover all areas of the curriculum and additional topics of general interest. Students are encouraged to suggest books or authors they'd like to see added to the collection, and we consider these suggestions when making new acquisitions.

Additional Features

During break and lunch, students can enjoy chess sets and Scrabble boards, providing an engaging way to unwind. Due to the library's high demand, we're always grateful for book donations from parents and students, which are welcome at any time.

Meet the Team

Our Librarian, Ms Jade, is always ready to assist students in finding their next great read or assisting with locating a specific book in our well stocked non-fiction section. We also have a team of Student Librarians, who help manage day-to-day operations and actively promote reading for pleasure within the student community.
